Updated Quarantine Guidance
Posted on December 2, 2020 by Kari Everson
Information is circulating that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is updating its quarantine guidance to say quarantine can be shortened to 7 days if the individual is asymptomatic and has a COVID negative test.
LeadingAge Minnesota staff spoke with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) on Wednesday to discuss the issue. MDH has not changed its quarantine guidance and providers should continue to follow current quarantine and isolation practices. The MDH staff will start discussions and if there are changes to the quarantine and/or isolation guidance, MDH will publish any changes.
