One Million MN Seniors — Social Media Campaign to Highlight Need for State Solutions
Posted on April 7, 2022 by Libbie Chapuran
Through Face Aging Minnesota, LeadingAge Minnesota and our partner in the Long-Term Care Imperative are launching the "I am ONE of One Million Seniors" social media photo campaign before/during legislative spring break (April 9-18). We ask for your help to spread the news that Minnesota is now home to over one million adults over 65.
To join, follow three simple steps:
1. Print the “I am ONE of One Million Seniors” Poster
2. Take photos of residents, family members, or employees who are 65+ holding the poster.
3. Share the photos on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #OneMillionMNSeniors. To make it more personal and compelling, include short descriptions of each senior pictured (i.e., “Gladys is one of Minnesota’s one million seniors. She moved to Minnesota Senior Living two years ago. She never misses a Gopher game!")
Our One Million MN Seniors social media campaign is one of many tactics we are used through face aging to help lawmakers understand the need to support seniors and their caregivers with public policy solutions.
