Start 2021 off with new staff joining your team!
Skilled nursing facilities have the ability to train caregivers quickly using the Basic Care Aide and Paid Feeding Assistant programs from EduCare. The expedited training programs are eligible under the current 1135 waiver, allowing you to train Basic Care Aides in just 9 hours and paid feeding assistants within 2 hours. Basic Care Aides are eligible to work in place of traditional nursing assistants.
Thanks to the generous support of the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation and EduCare, the Basic Care Aide and Paid Feeding Assistant programs are available at no cost to LeadingAge Minnesota members.
The Basic Care Aide program teaches skills including infection prevention and control, emergency preparedness, abuse prevention, dementia care, bathroom assistance, mobility and more.
If your organization currently uses EduCare for your training needs, the curriculum is already available in your EduCare library. Contact Jennifer Anderson, President & CEO of EduCare if you need assistance.
If your organization is not an EduCare user, LeadingAge Minnesota members can enroll students through the registration platform here: https://educarebasiccareaide.com/
Contact Jenna Kellerman at LeadingAge Minnesota or EduCare’s Jennifer Anderson with questions.
