Last Two Sessions for COVID-19 Vaccine Ambassador Training
Posted on June 2, 2021 by Jenna Kellerman
Monday, June 7 and Thursday, June 10 are the final sessions scheduled for our COVID-19 Vaccine Ambassador training. The training is free. If you’re interested in signing up, please email Jenna Kellerman to register by June 4.
The program consists of a one-hour virtual training and resources needed to launch the initiative in your organization. Tools include a conversation guide, implementation plan, marketing and social media templates, access to experts and other resources.
Last week, a new resource called Invest in Trust, published by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), reported that building vaccine confidence involves establishing trust, removing barriers, making time to listen, and activating trusted messengers. Our COVID-19 Vaccine Ambassador program will help you develop a peer-to-peer network in your organization to assist in this effort.
"Building a non-judgmental culture that is open and accepting of individual decisions can be challenging. Transparent communication about side effects and the experiences of people who were hesitant then eventually took the vaccine can reduce fears," says Dr. Alyson VanAhn, from Associated Clinic of Psychology and lead faculty for the Safe Care for Staff’s COVID-19 Vaccine Ambassador Program.
All staff who are vaccinated are encouraged to become ambassadors.
