LALD Field Experience Sites Needed – Mentors Provided
Posted on April 28, 2022 by Bobbie Guidry
As part of Leading Age Minnesota’s Assisted Living Director Licensing Course, we are seeking assisted living settings to serve as field experience sites for assisted living director (ALD) students.
LeadingAge Minnesota has developed a collaborative learning and mentoring approach for ALD students who must complete field experience under the guidance of a mentor. While LeadingAge Minnesota will organize the mentoring component of requirement in this new model, students will need field experience as required in the rule.
We are asking members to step forward to agree to either short or long-term opportunities to serve as a field experience site beginning on June 1. As part of the program, your site simply serves as a place for a student to “office” and learn.
But what's in it for you? Students are available to provide support in the facility. Have a project needing exploration or completion? Need quality assurance evaluations or projects initiated? ALD students are available to jump in and take it on! They will be available to provide support with assigned tasks and the completion of a special project.
Please consider offering your assisted living as a training location! For more information, contact Bobbie Guidry.
