Posted on March 7, 2024 by Mark Schulz
Effective Mar. 31, the contract for Aladtec with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) will end.
Facilities are reminded they can continue to independently hire staff that have worked with them through the Aladtec program. There is no cost or penalty to maintaining a relationship with staff hired through the Aladtec platform.
Aladtec
Using the Aladtec staffing management system was an effort employed during the height of the public health emergency and following it to connect providers in need of staffing with licensed health and other professionals to assist providers experiencing a staffing shortage.
MDH provided updated Aladtec usage data through the end of 2023. In summary, providers using the Aladtec platform through the end of last year:
- Covered 12,518 shifts, and
- Covered approximately 100,144 hours
Over 550 registered nurses, over 250 licensed professional nurses, over 1,130 certified nurse assistants, and over 300 support staff participated in the program.
Next steps
With the end of the Aladtec contract pending, MDH encouraged providers to seek out alternative sources for temporary staffing.
MDH maintains an active listing of registered supplemental nursing services agencies (SNSAs) you can use to locate SNSAs.
