Workforce Win-Win: Host Bring Your Child to Work Day
Posted on January 15, 2019 by Jenna Kellerman
It is a win-win! Allowing staff to bring their kids to work offers an opportunity for children to experience positive interactions with older adults, potentially building your workforce long-term.
Remember - data projects that the most challenging workforce crisis will hit in 2035, so it is important to build the pipeline now.
Allowing staff to bring children to work offers an opportunity for fun intergenerational activities. You might consider offering this option periodically throughout the holidays or the summer when staff experience more challenges with child care or consider it when your local school district cancels school due to weather (we’re in MinneSNOWda afterall!).
Better yet, connect Bring Your Child to Work Day with the Caring Careers Start Here campaign!
