Who’s Your Jack? Tell Us About Your Volunteer of the Year – Nominations Open
Posted on August 7, 2018 by Barbara Landeen
The Stars Among Us Award program is open for the 2019 recognition awards and we want to know, Who’s YOUR Jack?
If you were at the Institute in February, you witnessed one of the highlights of the year when Jack Mouritsen, volunteer extraordinaire at LB Homes in Fergus Falls, was honored with the prestigious statewide Volunteer of the Year Award. This humble, generous man knows no boundaries when giving of himself to others, not only at LB Homes but throughout his community.
See his story here.
Now it’s your turn to tell us about your amazing volunteers.
We know that regardless of building, service line, geographic area or size of operation, our members have the most generous and talented people serving older adults. The Volunteer of the Year Award honors individuals whose commitment and dedication enhance the quality of life for seniors and their communities. Volunteer of the Year Awards are given at the statewide level and in each of seven districts.
Nominations for the 2019 Stars Among Us Awards are open through Sept. 14. All members are welcome and encouraged to submit nominations for your amazing caregivers, volunteers, leaders, and the great work your organization is doing to enhance the experience of aging.
All award recipients will be honored at the 2019 Institute & Expo in February. Click here for all the details.
