Welcome New Board Members!

The LeadingAge Minnesota Board of Directors welcomed four new board members during its November meeting: Jerry Carley, President/CEO, Benedictine Health System; Kristi Kane, Director, Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging; Katie Lundmark, Executive Director, Ecumen-Detroit Lakes; and Tom Nielsen, Vice President and Long-Term Care Operations and Administrator, Northfield Retirement Community.
Board-Appointed Directors
Two of the new board members – Jerry Carley and Kristi Kane – were appointed to the Board and will serve a three-year term.
- Jerry Carley, President and CEO, Benedictine Health System has been active in LeadingAge national and LeadingAge Minnesota. He has in-depth experience in a variety of settings, and brings a multi-site, multi-state perspective to the Board of Directors.
- Kristi Kane, Director, Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging was first appointed to the LeadingAge Minnesota Board of Directors following our merger with the Minnesota Adult Day Services Association. In addition to her previous work on adult day issues and her numerous contributions to LeadingAge Minnesota, Kristi has the unique perspective of an area agency on aging leader with its focus on home and community-based services and community collaboration.
District Directors
Elections were held in two regions during our October District Meeting swing.
- District C: Katie Lundmark, Executive Director, Ecumen-Detroit Lakes was elected to a three-year term. She replaces Nathan Johnson, President and CEO, PioneerCare in Fergus Falls who completed his board service this year.
- District F: Tom Nielsen, Vice President and Long-Term Care Operations and Administrator, Northfield Retirement Community, was elected to a three-year term. He replaces Cheryl Gustason, Administrator, Field Crest Campus who completed her term on the board this year. Cheryl will continue in service to LeadingAge Minnesota as a member of the Foundation Board of Directors.
