LeadingAge is partnering with Russell Phillips & Associates to bring care centers a four-part webinar series on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) emergency preparedness requirements that will become part of your standard surveys beginning Nov. 15.
Four 75-minute webinars will be presented at Noon on June 1, 8, 16 and 22:
The First Steps (June 1): Develop your Emergency Preparedness Program Team; Assess your current program to the 2016 CMS Final Rule; The Hazard Vulnerability Assessment; Mitigation Plans with community partners.
The Foundation Plans (June 8): Plan Activation & Incident Command; Communications Plans; Full Building Evacuation Plans; Surge/Influx Plans.
Emergency Operations Plans (June 16): Disaster Specific Planning; Loss of Utility Plans; Resource and Asset Planning.
Training & Testing (June 22): Training for all levels of Leadership and Staff: Examples, frequency, employee matrix, documenting competency; Exercises: Types, planning and execution (HSEEP super-light); Documentation: AAR and IPs Summary; Create your Action Plan for Compliance and Continuous Readiness; Questions & Answers.
