Use OnTrack To Transition BCA to Nursing Assistant
Posted on June 30, 2021 by Jenna Kellerman
Many skilled nursing facilities are planning ahead to transition caregivers and Basic Care Aides into Registered Nursing Assistant positions. The 1135 Waiver and corresponding Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) approvals that allow nursing assistants to work without being on the Registry still apply. However, there is growing concern amongst members regarding transitioning in advance of the waiver’s discontinuation.
To help in this process, the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation OnTrack Nursing Assistant Training program, powered by EduCare, is available to help get your staff trained and certified before the waiver expiration. OnTrack has new flexibilities to help all providers train nursing assistants, regardless of whether or not they have MDH-approved training programs.
Register for either of the following informational sessions to learn how OnTrack can help with this transition.
Monday, Aug. 2 at 3 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m.
