Updated Date and Time: Legacy Licensed Assisted Living Director Application Process Coaching Room
Posted on March 3, 2021 by Bobbie Guidry
Join us on March 17 at 2 p.m. for an open discussion on the application process for licensing as an Assisted Living Director (LALD). To accommodate a Minnesota Department of Health webinar on assisted living licensure on March 18 from 10 - 11:30 a.m., we moved the LALD Coaching Room from its original date and time.
In the coaching room, we will provide an overview of the application process for individuals who qualify as legacy directors. There will be ample time for individual questions.
Assisted living licensure, effective Aug. 1, requires all assisted living settings to have a LALD as a condition of licensure. Minnesota Statutes direct five legacy pathways for current practitioners, who must apply by June 30. You can find your path to legacy licensure and explore the requirements for each.
It is anticipated that applications will be available in April or May with a firm deadline of June 30. The LALD rules, not yet finalized, must be completed prior to the issuance of the application. A formal announcement will be made available by BELTSS, when online applications have been opened for individuals qualifying for legacy licensure.
Register in advance for the Licensed Assisted Living Director Coaching Room. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the session.
If you don’t qualify for legacy licensure, be assured LeadingAge Minnesota will provide the resources you need to become a LALD.
