The challenges faced by senior living providers are plentiful – oversupply pressures, broken capital structures, obsolete properties and inadequate payment models. But the greatest challenge continues to be workforce.

Workforce challenges are the new normal and will not abate soon, meaning senior living providers must utilize a new playbook to recruit and retain staff while offsetting labor cost increases. While there are no easy answers or a one-size fits all solutions, creating a strong culture and supporting both the professional and personal needs of staff should be a concentrated focus for providers.
