Transition BCA to Nursing Assistant with OnTrack
Posted on July 7, 2021 by Jenna Kellerman
Many skilled nursing facilities are planning ahead and transitioning caregivers and Basic Care Aides into Registered Nursing Assistant positions. The 1135 Waiver and corresponding MDH approvals that allow nursing assistants to work without being on the Registry still apply. However, there is growing concern amongst members on making the transition in advance of the waiver discontinuing.
To help in this process, the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation's OnTrack Nursing Assistant Training program powered by EduCare is available to help get your staff trained and certified before the waiver expiration. OnTrack has new flexibilities to help all providers train nursing assistants, regardless of whether they have their own MDH-approved training programs.
Register for any of the following informational sessions to learn how OnTrack can help with this transition.
Monday, Aug. 2 at 3 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m.
