Posted on February 20, 2018 by Jodi Boyne
A recent survey from LeadingAge CAST and Ziegler shows an increase in technology adoption in senior living communities and that more organizations are adding Chief Information/Technology Officer positions to their leadership teams.
The 14th Annual LeadingAge Ziegler 150 showed a growth in Electronic Health Records, Electronic Point of Care/Point of Service Documentation Services, Automatic Fall Detectors, Access Control/Wander Management Systems, User-Activated Emergency Response Systems, Physical Exercise and Rehabilitation Technologies.
The survey also showed that the most common corporate position created in 2016 was Chief Information/Technology Officer. Of the 150 providers who participated in the survey, 48 have CIOs with an average tenure of eight years.
