State has Funding to Cover all Current Moratorium Exceptions Proposals
Posted on April 21, 2022 by Jeff Bostic
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has more than enough funding to cover all currently moratorium exceptions projects proposed by nursing homes across the state.
MDH recently released the cost estimates of the current round of moratorium exceptions proposals, and the 13 projects combine for an annual state cost of $2.64 million.
The state has just more than $4 million in funding available, which means all the projects can potentially be approved. The 13 proposals will be reviewed on May 3 and 4. If they are all approved, the state will still have more than $1.3 million to conduct another round of the exceptions process next year.
