Senior Housing Occupancy Flat, New Construction Slows
Posted on April 16, 2019 by Jodi Boyne
Senior housing occupancy remains flat and new construction has slowed, according to a new report released last week by the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC).
The report shows an occupancy rate of 88.1% for independent living and assisted living – that’s a slight increase (0.1%) from third quarter 2018. The report also indicates there is a slowing in new construction for assisted living that could translate to slower inventory growth.
