Investing in the professional development of the aging services workforce is one of the signature areas of focus for the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation. The Foundation is excited to offer more than $32,000 in educational scholarships to eligible caregivers and other employees of LeadingAge Minnesota member organizations for 2018.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be 17 years of age or older;
- Be employed by a provider member of LeadingAge Minnesota (care center, senior housing, assisted living, adult day, etc.);
- Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than Fall of 2018) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education as evidence by a letter of acceptance;
- Complete the scholarship application; and
- Provide two letters of recommendation including one from their supervisor or the administrator of their organization.
Scholarship awards range from $500 to $1500, and one $2500 scholarship may be awarded for an applicant that demonstrates exceptional commitment to aging services.
The scholarships are made possible thanks to the generosity of the organizations and individuals who support the Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament and the Foundation Silent Auction held each year as part of the Institute.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Monday, May 28. Download the Application!
