Webinar Series Announced for Adult Day Providers
Attention Adult Day Services providers: Three upcoming webinars are specifically designed for you to address some of 2020’s unique challenges.
Expanding the Reach of Your ADS: Meeting the Needs of Older Adults on Public Programs – Parts 1 & 2
- Part 1 - Monday, November 2 from 2 – 3 p.m. Identify new ways to serve participants and family caregivers through expanded service offerings under Elderly Waiver and Alternative Care.
- Part 2 - Monday, November 16 from 12 Noon – 1 p.m. Understand the 245D license application process – the license that allows you to offer other types of home and community-based services.
Marketing Your ADS Program in Uncertain Times
Scheduled for Thursday, December 3 - 2:30 – 3:30 pm. Improve your marketing game during these uncertain times to help build up your client base, while retaining your current clients.

Dementia Care Certificate Program Modules #3 and #4 Scheduled
Modules #3 and #4 of the Dementia Care Certificate Program Person-Centered Care and Strategies to Avert Challenging Behaviors – Parts 1 & 2 will be offered over a number of days in November and December to members interested in earning the certificate of completion for the series, or as separate modules:
Module #3: Person-Centered Care and Strategies to Avert Challenging Behaviors – Part 1
Attend four segments to complete this module.
- Tuesday, November 17, 1 – 2:30 p.m. and 3 – 4:15 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 18, 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. and 3 – 4:15 p.m.
Module #4 - Person-Centered Care and Strategies to Avert Challenging Behaviors – Part 2
Attend four segments to complete this module.
- Thursday, December 3, 8:30 – 10:45 a.m.
- Tuesday, December 8, 1 – 2 p.m.; 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
The webinar series features Drs. Catherine Johnson and John Brose of the Associated Clinic of Psychology, Terrianne Jones from the Occupational Therapy Department at the University of Minnesota and Susan Ryan, Consultant, St. Paul. Registration is by individual module. Information will be sent to members later this week.
Unemployment Claims Webinar Announced
On Thursday, November 11 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., the Today’s Unemployment Claims: An Employer’s Guide webinar will provide an update on the complex set of unemployment laws and how to best address the challenges posed in addressing unemployment claims. Featured faculty are Mark S. Mathison, Partner and Caitlin Gehlen, Attorney, Lathrop GPM, LLP, Minneapolis. Registration information will be sent to members later this week.
