Rural COVID-19 Grants – Deadline Extended to June 18
Posted on June 2, 2020 by Terri Foley
We've extended application deadlines for both LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation grant programs to allow for more members to participate during this chaotic and stressful time. We realize everyone is juggling many priorities and there aren’t enough hours in the day.
Applications for grants to support staff (COVID-19 Courage Funds) and to fund virtual services for Adult Day Services programs (COVID-19 Adult Day Services Virtual Visits & Support) are being accepted from rural LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation through June 18 at 5 p.m.

Based on questions we’ve received, the descriptions below from last week’s article have been updated to include more information:
- To be eligible, sites must be outside of the 7-county metro area: Sites in all Minnesota counties except these metro counties are eligible to apply - Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington.
- COVID-19 Courage Fund Grants: Offers $560,000 in grants of up to $10,000 for each awarded site. The applications can be for existing or new staff support programs that provide cash assistance and/or mental health support for staff across settings including assisted living, care centers, home care, and adult day programs. Although we know members would like to show all staff that they're appreciated, these funds are not intended to be used for wages, bonuses, or gift certificates. Click Here for RFP
