Posted on October 21, 2020 by Terri Foley
When we are in a situation that brings chronic stress such as COVID, it is difficult to think about anything other than surviving at times.
It is possible, however, to actually build resilience and create meaningful support networks using tools that can help reduce the moment-to-moment significant stress.
We can even spread resilience by bringing some simple strategies to our workplace, our homes and ourselves. Here is 3-Step Stress Relief Process that will walk you through creating a simple plan for feeling better and being resilient in your everyday – no matter how stressful COVID makes it.
For more information about this tool and building your own resiliency, watch this recorded webinar Bouncing Back – Building Your Own Resilience Roadmap. It features psychologist Alyson VanAhn, from the Associated Clinic of Psychology, who leads the COVID-19 Staff Coping and Support hotline through a LeadingAge MN Foundation grant. The hotline offers a 20-minute coaching session to you and your team members to put together a personal coping plan. The hotline number is 612-455-8656 or covidsupport@acp-mn.com. Click here for materials to communicate the hotline to the staff and leaders in your organization. More webinars and coping conversations will be held in the coming weeks.
