Register Now for MLCOA 2020 Virtual Summit Series
Posted on November 25, 2020 by Heidi Simpson
Registration just opened for one of the hottest tickets in the field of aging. Each year, the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging (MLCOA) gathers the state’s leading minds for a Summit to discuss the policies and practices needed to create communities and systems that support aging with dignity and a spirit of well-being in Minnesota. Last year at the Summit, Governor Walz signed an executive order to establish the Council for an Age-Friendly Minnesota that recently submitted their recommendations.
This December, the Summit goes online for leaders serving at the crossroads of aging-ageism and anti-racism efforts in our state. We encourage you to register now for the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging 2020 Virtual Summit Series, Improving Health Equity for Minnesota’s Older Adults. The Summit will be delivered over three powerful morning discussions, held from 9-11 a.m. daily from December 9-11.
As an attendee you can expect to:
- Hear from a diverse mix of leading voices in fast presentations and panels;
- Engage in discussions to apply concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion in your work;
- Explore emerging and promising solutions already underway across Minnesota; and
- Understand what leadership looks like as individuals, organizations and as a state in 2021.
Whether you're an executive leader in the aging services community, a board member, state policy expert, researcher, funder or emerging leader, each of us has a role to play in creating state systems that improve health equity for Minnesota’s older adults.
