Reframe Aging Minnesota – Participation Opportunities
Posted on April 10, 2025 by Bobbie Guidry
Did you know that Minnesota has a Reframe Aging Initiative? The Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation and the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging are sponsoring a series of sessions, titled, “Free Framer Fridays” to engage Minnesotans in championing a Minnesota free of agism.
Session Details
The one-hour sessions are free and will be held virtually. Continuing Education Credits are available for BELTSS and the Board of Social Work. Upcoming conversations include:
- May 9: Flip the Script on Aging
- June 6: Pop Culture and Aging
- Aug. 1: Gender and Aging
- Oct. 3: Successful Communications Strategies
All Minnesotans who regularly communicate about aging are welcome, with a focus on leaders across the aging sector, including age-friendly communities, government, philanthropy, and non-profit partners.
Transforming Aging Narratives
The purpose of the sessions is to generate momentum for the Reframe Aging principles to accurately transform narratives on the experience of aging in Minnesota.
Sessions are grounded in Project ECHO principles of amplifying scarce resources via technology and mastering complexity through case-based learning. Interactive sessions include guided practice, peer-to-peer learning, case studies, and collaborative problem-solving.
By participating, you expand your own thinking as well as help build the capacity of fellow Framers from around the state.
