Rate Increase for Elderly Waiver

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) recently announced the imminent launch of a new program to pay enhanced rates to Customized Living providers who have a confirmed case of COVID-19 (residents or staff) in their setting.

The enhanced rates will apply for a limited time for both Elderly Waiver and disabilities waivers and are intended to cover the added costs of dealing with an outbreak, including greater personal protective equipment use and higher staffing costs. More details are expected from DHS this week.
