Nursing Leadership Symposium Prepares Exceptional Leaders, Begins April 9
Posted on March 19, 2019 by Heidi Simpson
Time is short to register for the 2019 Nursing Leadership Symposium – a comprehensive, five-part training series that prepares professional nurses for the challenging and exciting role of a nurse leader or director in long-term care.
For 28 years, organizations have turned to this LeadingAge Minnesota program to prepare their new nursing directors for a successful transition and gain the skills and insight needed to be a leader of the largest staffing and budget division in the organization.
Here is what previous participants have to say about the experience:
“Being a nurse leader in LTC, this was one of the most important leadership training sessions I could have attended! I was able to translate what I learned into action rapidly and still use the tools today even years later! I make sure that all the nurse leaders that enter our organization take this course to help them grow into effective leaders.” - Melissa Peterson, Eventide Senior Living Communities, Moorhead
“I was not sure I was up to the daunting task of being a Director of Nursing. The Symposium helped me understand I did have the capability and helped tremendously grow the skills to be a more effective nurse leader. It helped mentally prepare me for the job ahead, some scenarios of what to expect, how to handle situations, and provided me with resources for scenarios I didn't even know could happen.” - Paige Ekstrom, Ecumen
The Nursing Leadership Symposium is a five-month series, April 9 through August 22. Find complete details and registration here.
