Posted on December 31, 2018 by Jenna Kellerman
As we continue to address the workforce challenges in aging services, we encourage you to get engaged with organizations that are educating your potential workforce at a crucial time in their development.
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a national program that teaches high school students the technical and leadership competencies necessary in health sciences education programs.
It is important that our careers are represented in the programming for this general health sciences club as it is a great opportunity to show students already interested in healthcare profession the reason why aging services is a meaningful career.
By getting involved in HOSA at the local level, your organization is supporting the workforce of tomorrow and building relationships, expectations and connections. If your local high school does not have a HOSA club – encourage them to start one!
Connect with your local health science instructor to learn more about how you can support this work. Visit the HOSA WEBSITE today!
