Posted on September 1, 2021 by Heidi Simpson
The Connect Conference that brings together senior housing, assisted living, and home care returns to Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center this Oct. 27 and 28. The landscape of aging services has changed in the last year, and this conference features several related educational sessions.
Here’s a sampling of what to expect:
- Navigate all that is new in licensed assisted living settings.
- Support your teams and residents through the pandemic and beyond.
- Market and sell senior housing in these unique times.
- Explore essential products and services with on-site vendor exhibits.
- Network with other providers, build relationships, and share your ideas and experiences.
The Connect Conference begins with a keynote presentation, Moving Forward Together Again, from Daniel Shannon. He will include tips to develop more meaningful connections. Thrifty White Pharmacy is sponsoring the opening keynote.
On Oct. 28, President & CEO Gayle Kvenvold will deliver a welcome message to members, followed by the featured speaker Dr. Henry Emmons. In his presentation, Restoring Resilience, Building Up Ourselves and Others, Dr. Emmons demonstrates how new science and ancient wisdom traditions combine to help sustain a healthy mind, mood, and heart in the face of ongoing challenges in the older adult services and health care sectors. Dr. Emmons' presentation is sponsored by Lotus Pharmacy.
The conference contains topics for Licensed Assisted Living Directors (LALDs) licensed under a legacy pathway to earn the required seven hours of continuing education (CE) within their first year of licensure.
Conference details and registration are available here.
