Medical Cannabis Review Panel to Consider New Qualifying Medical Conditions

Yesterday, the MN Department of Health announced that the Medical Cannabis Review Panel will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and Thursday, Oct. 22, to discuss petitions for three new potential qualifying medical conditions for participation in Minnesota’s Medical Cannabis Program.
The meetings will be held on Zoom technology and are limited to 500 participants. Public comment will not be taken during the meetings; however, members of the public are encouraged to submit written comments by noon on Monday, Oct. 26. Petitions for qualifying conditions under consideration are:
By Nov. 2, 2020, the panel will provide the Commissioner of Health with written reports for each petition, identifying potential public health benefits and potential public health harms from adding or not adding the proposed condition. The Commissioner will approve or deny petitions by Dec. 1, 2020.
