MDH Engineering Provides Survey Checklist for Assisted Living
Posted on December 9, 2021 by Bobbie Guidry
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) shared a checklist to help guide assisted living providers in self-auditing compliance with physical environment requirements. The checklist covers the details from 144G that surveyors are looking for in the areas of:
- Minimum physical environment requirements
- Fire protection and physical environment
- Local laws applicability
- Additional fire protection and physical environment requirements for assisted living with dementia care
Utilizing this checklist to identify and address any issues will prepare providers for the engineering components of their surveys and provide safe and comfortable environments for residents, visitors, and staff.
