Posted on March 31, 2022 by Lori Meyer
LeadingAge Minnesota is excited to welcome Anna Mowry as our new Director of Workforce Solutions. Anna comes to us with extensive experience supporting workforce development in long-term care settings.
Prior to joining LeadingAge Minnesota, Anna served as HR Project Coordinator and Recruiter with Sholom Community Alliance. In that role, she supported recruiting efforts—developing partnerships to establish pipelines of applicants, providing input to talent acquisition strategies, and developing promotional materials for prospective hires. She also developed an on-site nurse assistant training program, managed employee scholarship and recognition programs, and secured grant funding to advance recruitment, retention, and staff development efforts. Her experience also includes compliance in various HR functions, including Affirmative Action, staff education and training, and compliance with applicable federal/state/local laws and regulations. Anna holds a BA degree in Communications and a BS degree in Business/Marketing from Hamline University.
Anna will play a key role in supporting LeadingAge Minnesota members in staff recruitment, retention, and development efforts. She will be a key liaison with DEED, DOLI, MDH, DHS, professional boards, educational institutions, and other stakeholder groups to represent our provider community in finding solutions to workforce challenges. She will also provide essential support in advancing our critical workforce public policy agenda.
"I am so excited to be a part of the LeadingAge Minnesota team and support members with resources and creative solutions to the workforce challenges faced," said Anna. "It is my goal to continue to support the caregivers in Minnesota who dedicate their lives to supporting and caring for others."
Please join us in welcoming Anna and reach out to her with your workforce questions and support needs.
