Just Launched: New Career Awareness Campaign

Thanks to the efforts of the Long-Term Care Imperative, HealthForce Minnesota was given funding from the State of Minnesota to create a senior care career awareness campaign -- Caring Careers Start Here. 

The campaign is designed to show students and adults that working in senior care is not only financially and emotionally rewarding, but also offers opportunities for scholarships and career advancement. 

A website is under development that will allow students to find work and explore career paths in healthcare and provide employers access to curriculum and tools for event planning, community building and education. 

Join the Soft Roll-Out: Open Hearts Open HOUSE

While the full website is under construction, we’re inviting you to begin a soft-roll out of the Caring Careers Start Here campaign by hosting an event called Open Hearts Open House.

The goal of an Open Hearts Open House event is to get as many people as possible into your organization so that guests can see the warmth and caring that takes place, learn about job opportunities, and feel more connected to your organization.

Visit the Open Hearts Open House website and download the toolkit. In it you will find the basic tools you’ll need to host one or more events between now and Jan. 10. Join us to get started on this new exciting Career Awareness Campaign! If that time frame doesn’t work (and we understand if it doesn’t!), we ask that you complete a survey on the website by Jan. 10 about hosting a future event. Links to the survey will be on the website.

If you have existing events or activities that are already drawing in the community this holiday season, we encourage you to “brand” them with the logo files and signage provided in the tool kit. As this campaign goes statewide, consistent messaging is key! Existing events are a great way to kick off this initiative.
