Jack Mouritsen Named Volunteer of the Year

Jack Mouritsen, a volunteer with LB Homes in Fergus Falls, was recently honored by LeadingAge Minnesota with the Volunteer of the Year Award.
“Jack Mouritsen epitomizes what it means to be a volunteer. His dedication and commitment to enriching the lives of older adults has made a positive impact on their lives and the communities in which the live,” said Gayle Kvenvold, President & CEO, LeadingAge Minnesota. “We are honored to recognize Jack for his service, and greatly appreciate all he has and will continue to contribute to the lives of older adults.”

Titus Christianson, Volunteer Coordinate, LB Homes said Jack displays exceptional commitment to older adults.
“Jack builds relationships with our residents at LB Homes. It is not uncommon for him to drop everything to serve someone in need, and Jack can always be counted on to treat residents with dignity and respect,” said Titus Christianson, Volunteer Coordinator, LB Homes.
Jack is a dedicated community volunteer. In addition to his service at LB Homes, Jack also volunteers with LB Hospice, the Minnesota’s Veteran’s Home, his church and the Fergus Falls Kiwanis Club.
“What separates Jack from other volunteers is his willingness to serve residents at all phases of their lives,” said Marie Tysdal, Life Enrichment Director, LB Homes.
