In Memory: Trent Carlson
Posted on June 20, 2018 by Gayle Kvenvold
Long time LeadingAge Minnesota member and colleague in serving elders, Trent Carlson, passed away last Friday after a short illness.
Trent served the Elim Care family for over three decades, most recently as administrator of New Harmony Care Center. He was also the long-time administrator at Elim Homes in Watertown and Milaca. His career and servant leadership were deeply rooted in his faith, his passion for caregiving, and his generosity, kindness, and warm hospitality to all who crossed his path.
Trent was a steady contributor to the LeadingAge community of caregiving; his smiling presence a hallmark of so many of our district and statewide gatherings over the years. We will miss that daily presence so much but know also that Trent’s faith has borne him home.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Susan and their family, to the caregiving team at New Harmony and all of the Elim Care community.
Funeral service will be on Friday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at the South Suburban Free Church, 12600 Johnny Cake Road, Apple Valley. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28 at South Suburban Free Church and one hour prior to the service on Friday. To send condolences or to read more about Trent’s mission in life, see Trenton Carlson.
