HUD REAC Call-In: Proposed Changes: National Physical Inspection Process
Posted on May 8, 2019 by Bobbie Guidry
The U.S. Housing & Urban Development Department is proposing changes to the national physical inspection process. Because HUD’s in-person listening sessions on this topic filled so quickly, D. J. Lavoy, Director of the Office of the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC), has agreed to provide a special opportunity for LeadingAge members.
You will be able to hear an update first-hand and submit your comments/feedback on the proposed changes to the national physical inspection process -- now with its own new name: NSPIRE.
Sign-up for the one-hour REAC Call-In for LeadingAge members on May 13 at 1 p.m.
You will then receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. NOTE: This meeting was originally set for April 29. If you signed-up for the April 29 meeting, your registration has been cancelled and you must sign-up again to participate in the May 13 meeting.
In advance of the presentation, you may want to review the update on recent developments with REAC inspection and related HUD policies. An article HUD Reforming the REAC Physical Inspection Process provides links to initial listening session slides.
During the May 13 meeting, you will be able to type in comments or questions real time. You may also submit questions or provide feedback in advance to Colleen Bloom.
