Free Webinar: Supporting Older Adults with Substance Use Disorders
Posted on May 9, 2018 by Bobbie Guidry
By 2020, the number of older adults with substance abuse disorder in the U.S. is expected to reach 5.7 million. A free webinar on May 16 will empower providers to better support the care needs of this growing population.
The May 16 webinar will describe screening tools, how to effectively diagnose substance abuse disorders, and available treatment resources. As beneficiaries dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid experience co-occurring substance abuse disorders and chronic pain at rates nearly twice as high as those with Medicare only, speakers will also discuss the need for care coordination.
The webinar takes place on Wednesday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Visit the webinar information webpage to sign up, view accreditation information and learn more.
