LeadingAge Minnesota is offering a Food Manager Certification Course on Tuesday, Feb. 5 to individuals seeking a new or renewal certification. This one-day ServSafe Manger course meets the criteria for Food Protection Manager Certification in Minnesota* and will provide eight hours of approved sanitation education required for CDMs.
The course is offered as a pre-conference intensive of the 2019 Institute & Expo at the RiverCentre in St. Paul. We encourage you to take advantage of the convenient location and scheduling to meet this critical requirement.
Advance registration is required by Friday, Jan. 18. and a separate fee applies. Find complete details here and visit the Institute app to register for this program.
*Does this apply to your setting? The Minnesota Department of Health issued new Food Codes effective January 1, 2019, stating that in addition to Adult Day Centers, Senior Housing/Housing with Services and Assisted Living, nursing homes are considered a food establishment and subject to food and beverage licensing requirements if they serve persons other than their residents (including guests, restaurant services, meal delivery, etc.) Any such setting must employ a Certified Food Protection Manager.
