Experience the Frontline

Are you looking for ways to connect with your staff? Do you have a goal to build relationships with your team and to improve the culture of your organizations?
One way to connect with staff is to spend time alongside your team. Consider trading places with a frontline caregiver for a day (a nurse manager works as a nursing assistant, or administrator works as a culinary aide). This gives leadership staff an opportunity to experience the work and challenges of frontline staff first hand and provides an opportunity to personally connect with staff and reflect publicly on the value of the job they experienced.
This is also a great opportunity for positive reinforcement and just-in-time training – and, residents and their family members enjoy seeing leaders working alongside staff as well!
