DHS Launches NETStudy Roster Import Process
Posted on February 27, 2018 by Jonathan Lips
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has launched a NETStudy Roster Import Process, which will affect all LeadingAge Minnesota members that submit background studies.
The import process is the way entities will transfer background study determination statuses of people whose background study was completed in the original NETStudy system to their NETStudy 2.0 rosters. Study subjects who must be included in the import process are people who are actively affiliated with your entity and required to have a DHS background study.
DHS began implementation last week, and the process will proceed incrementally over the next several months: different entities will conduct the import process at different times.
The NETStudy 2.0 system will notify your background study sensitive information person (SIP) by e-mail when it is time for your organization to complete the process. Once notified, you will have 45 calendar days to complete the process (exception: entities with 50 or more programs under the SIP structure and all hospitals have 180 calendar days to complete the import process). People whose background study determinations are not successfully imported by the deadline will need new background studies.
Details about this initiative, including a helpful Frequently-Asked-Questions document, are posted on the NETStudy 2.0 website under the heading “NETStudy Roster Import Process.”
DHS will host WebEx conference calls three to five times per week for the first three months of implementation and possibly longer. During the calls, participants may submit questions and NETStudy 2.0 staff will respond to as many as possible during the hour-long sessions. To access the WebEx call information and schedule go to the HELP feature in NETStudy 2.0, and it is in the HELP drop-down options.
