DHS Convenes Adult Day License Stakeholder Group
Posted on September 17, 2019 by Roni Falck
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) convened the first meeting of the Adult Day License Stakeholder Group, which will provide input on the development of new licensing standards for adult day services.
The group consists of approximately 15-20 members with a balance of representatives including service providers, consumer advocates and lead agencies. The stakeholder group will work through three major phases of work: vision and goals for the service; discussion of issue areas; and discussion of Adult Day Services standards concepts and language.
The group, which held its first meeting on Sept. 10, is expected to meet through November 2020 and develop recommendations for the 2021 legislative session. LeadingAge MN is actively involved in this process and will keep members posted and seek feedback on the discussion as this work progresses.
