DHS Conducting Transportation Access as Part of HCBS Transportation Study
Posted on September 4, 2018 by Jeff Bostic
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is conducting a survey on access to transportation services for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver recipients. The survey is part of a larger study of transportation services for HCBS waiver recipients that will inform a report to the 2019 Legislature.
The Transportation Access Survey for HCBS Programs will assess fleet capacity and identify barriers to providing transportation services to individuals covered by waiver programs. The survey is due Friday, Sept. 21, so members who want to participate and share their concerns about transportation access need to move quickly to complete it.
To access the survey, visit the project website. If you need technical assistance, contact Frank Douma of the University of Minnesota at douma002@umn.edu.
In addition to this survey, members have additional opportunities to share their concerns about waiver transportation rates and access. The study web page has a feedback form that we encourage members to use to share thoughts with DHS as they develop the report to the Legislature.
