DHS Changing Timeline of PIPP Program
Posted on February 3, 2021 by Jeff Bostic
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is making some changes to the timeline and process for the Performance Incentive Payment Projects (PIPP) program, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The next PIPP Request for Proposals will be posted in a couple of weeks. PIPP proposals for this year will be due to DHS by June 1, 2021 to allow eligible settings more time to research and submit projects.
DHS will be conducting PIPP “boot camps” like they typically do, but those sessions will be virtual this year due to the pandemic. The agency encourages providers to attend the boot camp webinars to be up to date on the changes impacting PIPP budgets and project outcomes. As soon as the boot camps are scheduled, we will share registration information in Advantage.
For providers with current PIPP projects that were extended into 2022 due to the pandemic, DHS indicates they are eligible to submit a new RFP for the maximum rate increase of 5%.
