DHS Background Study Payment Issue Resolved
Posted on February 27, 2025 by Mark Schulz
On Feb. 24, the Department of Human Services posted notice the issue surrounding NETStudy 2.0 not accepting payments for applications submitted on Feb. 19 has been resolved.
Late last week, several members reached out about the inability of the NETStudy 2.0 system to accept payments for background study applications. In response, staff reached out to the Department of Human Services (DHS) to clarify the situation. DHS stated that as a result of migrating to new servers, an issue was identified in the NETStudy 2.0 system, affecting background study payments made on Feb. 19. Payments appeared to have been successful. However, some study applications did not route appropriately in NETStudy 2.0. DHS resolved this issue and worked directly with impacted providers to remedy their situations. DHS continues to actively monitor NETStudy 2.0 to ensure there are no other potential issues or anomalies.
Information Reminder
A good source to check to see if DHS is aware of a situation is to check the department’s “Recent Communications” portion of its “What’s New” website or its NETStudy 2.0 System Maintenance website.
Additionally, DHS reminds providers and users of the NETStudy system the Background Studies Contact Center should be the first point of contact for concerns about the system, and can be reached at 651-431-6620, or email at dhs.netstudy2@state.mn.us.
Should you experience any NETStudy 2.0 system issues or have other background study questions, please contact Mark Schulz.
