Catherin Hinz, Interim Executive Director of the Minnesota Alliance for Patient Safety and Julie Apold, LeadingAge Minnesota Vice President of Quality and Performance Excellence, will lead an educational session to help define the differences between human error, at-risk behavior and reckless behavior as factors that cause abuse and what you can do to address each type more effectively.
You will also explore case studies of events reported and substantiated under the Vulnerable Adults Act and get actionable strategies to assess risk and prevent these types of events from occurring in your setting.
