Customized Living: Assisted Living Webinar Posted
Posted on February 27, 2025 by Bobbie Guidry
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) held a webinar earlier this month on Feb 19th bringing together DHS and MDH to review assisted living licensure requirements and the policies and requirements of customized living (the payment program for residents receiving financial support under medical assistance waivers).
Materials Posted
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is the licensing and regulatory agency for Assisted Living Facilities, while DHS administers the payment programs for those eligible for financial support, as well as the Background Study processes.
The materials from the webinar have now been posted on the DSD Training Archive, DSD Training Handouts Archive, under “Miscellaneous”. The title of the webinar is, “Comprehensive training on the Assisted Living License and Customized Living Services.” The PowerPoint presentation can be found Assisted Living License | Customized Living with a recording of the session at AL and CL video.
LeadingAge Minnesota members may find it helpful to review the materials to differentiate the requirements that are derived from Assisted Living Licensure under the auspices of MDH and the payment policies, particularly those related to the disability waivers (CADI and BI) that are under the DHS.
