Posted on October 21, 2020 by Terri Foley
Testing continues to be an ongoing issue and challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Testing Tools & Resources section of the LeadingAge Minnesota COVID-19 webpage has 30 resources, tools, and links to help you make decisions about your testing plan, meet MDH & CMS guidelines, and communicate with your staff about testing.
Here are a few examples of resources in the webpage testing section:
- COVID-19 Testing Basics Factsheet: A one-page summary of the differences between PCR and antigen testing as well as a graphic showing when each is best used.
- MDH Flowchart for Antigen Testing and MDH Antigen Testing Guide: These links outline use of antigen-based Point-of-Care testing in long-term care settings.
- Testing Consent Forms: You can use these as templates to create or update your own testing consent forms. Updated Testing Consent Form - Resident and Updated Testing Consent Form - Staff
As the testing landscape changes, the LeadingAge Minnesota team will continue updating this information. If you have questions about COVID-19 testing, please contact Kari Everson, LeadingAge Minnesota Director of Clinical Care and Nurse Consultant at keverson@leadingagemn.org or 651-380-2032; or Jonathan Lips, VP of Legal & Regulatory Affairs, at jlips@leadingagemn.org or 651-603-3510.
