Congratulations Nursing Leadership Symposium Graduates
Posted on September 18, 2018 by Elizabeth Sether, RN, MHA, LNHA
The LeadingAge Minnesota Nursing Leadership Symposium continues to graduate experienced, dedicated leaders who have made the transition from clinical care to the role of a professional executive nurse leader.
This class of nurse leaders came to the program with a variety of experiences in the journey to their current positions, which lead to great discussions and very helpful networking to address the day-to-day work responsibilities.
Common threads for leadership and professional practice became apparent no matter if the setting they came from was a Skilled Nursing Care Center or Assisted Living Home Care.
Six of the 20 graduates completed their five-part series at various times from April to August.
We were also pleased to recently present a certificate to Starlette Cummings (pictured with program leader Liz Sether). Starlette completed a rigorous independent study after being unable to participate in the three-day August session – for three straight years – when the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Survey team was at the same exact time.
