Celebrate the Four I’s During National Adult Day Services Week
Posted on August 22, 2018 by Roni Falck
National Adult Day Services Week takes place Sept. 16-22 and is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the important work Adult Day Providers do every day. This year, we have developed a public awareness theme focused on the Four I’s of care:
Individualization: Focusing on the person-centered nature of adult day programs.
Independence: Highlighting the role ADS Programs play in preventing and delaying nursing home placement and enabling participants to remain in their homes.
Identity: Enabling participants and their family caregiver to maintain their identities.
Inclusion: Preventing social isolation and loneliness, for both participants and their family caregivers
Watch Advantage for a host of materials and resources you can use as you celebrate National Adult Day Services Week.
LeadingAge Minnesota will be promoting the values and benefits of adult day services during Sept. 16-22. We highly encourage providers to use this week as an opportunity to showcase the important work you do through celebratory events, community conversations, legislative visits and media outreach.
