The annual Assisted Living and Home Care Conference, co-sponsored with Minnesota HomeCare Association, is right around the corner, July 25. 

The 2018 Adult Day Conference on Tuesday, July 17 is open for registration. This conference continues to be the must-attend event for adult day managers and direct care staff. New this year, two breakout sessions address and meet the training requirements for function-specific positive supports: 

The new Assisted Living Certificate Program that combines essential training for both housing managers and nurse managers in assisted living, begins Wednesday, May 30. Limited spaces remain, so make sure to register today!

LeadingAge Minnesota’s new Assisted Living Certificate Program has been redesigned with the leadership team in mind – one combined course with separate learning tracks for Housing-with-Services/Assisted Living Managers and Home Care Nurse Managers. The summer series begins May 30, and limited seats remain for participation.

By 2020, the number of older adults with substance abuse disorder in the U.S. is expected to reach 5.7 million. A free webinar on May 16 will empower providers to better support the care needs of this growing population.

As part of LeadingAge Minnesota’s Performance Excellence in Aging Services platform, the May 17 workshop A Systematic and Effective Approach to Strategic Planning unfolds the strategic planning process from preparation and prioritization to deployment and sustaining the plan. 

LeadingAge Minnesota’s much-anticipated Assisted Living Certificate Program is open for registration. This program is a two-in-one merger of the Housing-with-Services Management and Home Care Nurse Managers certificate programs. It is designed for facility-based assisted living with separate learning tracks for the Housing with Services/Assisted Living Manager and the Home Care Nurse Manager. 

Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious and highly contagious disease. A webinar on May 3, Tuberculosis (TB): An Ongoing Concern for Prevention and Management, will deliver best practices in prevention to help minimize risk. 

Last week’s newsletter included a preview of our new Assisted Living Certificate Program, a combined series with separate tracks for Assisted Living/Housing with Services Managers and Nurse Managers.
