Candidate PAC Endorsement Deadline Extended to Aug. 6
Posted on July 31, 2018 by Libbie Chapuran
Do you know a candidate for state office who is a champion for the seniors we serve and their caregivers? The LeadingAge Minnesota Political Action Committee (PAC) seeks to support compassionate leaders who will champion policies promoting excellence and innovation in older adult services.
The LeadingAge Minnesota PAC can endorse candidates for state office that demonstrate support from local senior care providers, support for key positions of LeadingAge Minnesota, and leadership on key issues. By endorsing candidates, we can build rapport with candidates, inform our membership and elevate our issues.
If you would like a specific candidate to be considered for endorsement, it’s not too late to submit a nomination. We’ve extended the deadline to Monday, Aug. 6. To nominate a candidate, just send an email to lchapuran@leadingagemn.org and include the candidate’s name, the office for which he or she is running, and a short description of why it is important for the PAC to consider endorsement.
Upon your nomination, a questionnaire will be sent to all candidates in the race and returned to the LeadingAge Minnesota PAC Board, which will consider all candidates nominated for endorsement. The PAC Board, a non-partisan organization of LeadingAge Minnesota members, must vote unanimously to endorse in any given race.
If you would like more information about the endorsement process, contact me at 651-659-1443 or lchapuran@leadingagemn.org.
