Posted on April 2, 2019 by Heidi Simpson
The much-anticipated Assisted Living Certificate Program begins on April 25 for Assisted Living/Housing-with-Services managers and home care nurse managers. This combined training series capitalizes on shared learning for these two leadership positions and the critical intersections of their roles and responsibilities.
The program is offered twice in 2019; choose either the Spring Series, April 25 through June 5; or Late Summer/Fall series Aug. 6 through Oct. 2. A $100 savings on registration is available for the spring series (only).
Important topics in this series include laws and rules applying to Assisted Living/Housing with Services, protecting vulnerable adults from abuse and neglect, legal issues related to transfers and discharges, home care licensure requirements, survey preparation, quality improvement expectations, building trust with residents, clients and families, Minnesota’s Nurse Practice Act, federal and state employment laws, pricing and packaging options, rent charges vs. service fees, and so much more.
CEU note: Administrators needing CEUs before the April 30 licensure deadline may earn several hours in the first two program days of the spring series.
